In Memory of Bob Holloway 1931 - 2008
Bob died in an aviation accident on Saturday, May 31, 2008. Flying was his passion and transitioning this way was perfect.
Intrepid Bob
Intrepid Bob, as he was known
For all the places, he had flown,
For all the land that he had farmed,
For all the crops which he had grown—
Plus, seeds of adventure he had sown!
Intrepid Bob, who longed to fly--
From a haystack tried it when just a “small fry.”
Forever trying something new.
Yes, in more ways than one,
Intrepid Bob flew.
And on his last flight
When he took to the air
He didn’t know that he’d land there
In the realm of God’s unlimitless light
Where flying whenever, forever—
Was easy and right!
To us on earth, we carry on the job
Of being, of doing without Intrepid Bob!
